Definitely! You may add Soundtracker or Octamed since the MODs really defined computer music in the 90s. Maybe some games like Populus, Lemmings or SimCity were influential too?

Turbo Calc, Cygnus Ed, Directory Opus, ProTracker, LZX, YAM, AmIRC, Personal Paint, Cinema 4D, Art Department Pro.

These are the ten most influential Amiga programs for me, that some of them I still use daily to this date.

DiskMaster II. It had a much smaller footprint than DiROpus although I had Both.

I thought the thread was for top ten most influential amiga programs on the computer industry, not what are our favourite top ten applications on the amiga, which is what people seem to be replying with.

Otherwise I wouldn't have said vim, since personally I don't like vim (or vi), but you have to admit, it is a popular editor across the industry.

Deluxepaint helped defined standards for the amiga, so a definate yes.

Protracker?

Amirc ended up being the inspiration for xchat, which is distributed with a few linux distro's.

Despite its brief lifespan in the computer world, what Amiga programs had the most impact on the computer industry, or perhaps those that still have some legacy today in features that are still used. Look beyond your personal preferences.

Scala is a good example, since my old hometown got its first TV bulletin board with a 1200 and Scala after I sold them my A1000 and TVpaint.

What is VIM Karlos?

Clearly it has to be Videotoaster and Lightwave.  When they came onto the market there was nothing like them.  Deluxe Paint and Octamed were also game changers.

What we\'re witnessing is the sad, lonely crowing of that last, doomed cock.
