Any A500 game that fails to load/run properly on an A600 will also be incompatible with an A1200 or CD32.

i.e.
Shadow of the Beast, No Second Prize, Hunter, F19 Stealth Fighter, Nightbreed :-(
A1200, M-Tec 1230 @28MHz, FPU, MMU, 8Mb fast ram, SCSI card, 512Mb HD, Power CDROM drive, PS2 optical mouse

Hi Lazer,

Quote
of course..if fails on the A600 will fail on the A1200/cd32

most of that games not works on the A600 cause kickstart 2.05...so will fail also on kick3.0/3.1 of the A1200/cd32
also

You're Spot on there - that's what I was trying to say (without getting too technical) - i.e. it's not just that the A1200 and CD32 are AGA, but.....

inserted a kick1.3 chip on the A600 lot of years ago for test purposes and worked fine and was much more compatible with old games

Now that's what I call a stroke of genius.  I've got an old A500 mobo that's been doing nothing for the past ten years or so.  I'll whip out the kickstart and pop it in my spare A600 and see how it goes. :-D

Edit:  Just discovered that the mobo is an A500+ (so it has KS 2.04) and therefore won't be as compatible as a KS 1.3 with the old games.

However, after installing the KS 2.04 in the A600, I can now play 'No Second Prize'. No more keyboard faults - Hurrah!

Now to try some other games..............
