Toaster Disks/CD?
« on: March 19, 2003, 03:30:22 AM »
I picked up a Video Toaster to play with but I don't have much in the way of software for it.  Is there somewhere I can download the disks/CD/ISO Image/Whatever?  Seems like it should be a fairly legal proposition since I own the hardware that you need to make the software work  :-D

Thanks!
Gonz

:-? Have you tried contacting NewTek?  They're still around, last I heard.  If they don't have the software available, they may at least know who does.

I searched their site looking for anything amiga and didn't come back with much of anything.  It appears that they've gotten out of the Amiga/Toaster support business.  I will perhaps give them a call and see what ungodly amount they want to charge me for a stack of dusty floppies...   :-?

Newtek offers manuals, disks, support and repair of every single product they have ever made.   If you are just missing a disk, I think replacements are virtually free, if you need a whole new set, they may encourge you getting 4.3, which is on CD, well worth it and costs a little bit.

I believe I did just that, bought a copy of the 4.3 CD and boot disk from them, I think it was only about $100-150 or so, not bad at all.

Ok, so since my initial search for media, I decided to take the above advice and contact Newtek for the software.  Both yesterday and today I tried newtek.com and also videotoaster.com and neither will open for me (at work or at home).  Is this some problem I'm having or are they down?  Does anyone have a phone number for pricing/ordering?   :-?

Thanks,
Gonz
