Title: Is Brilliance worth it?
Post by: Jose on December 03, 2003, 06:19:54 PM
Pretty much that. I'm considering buying it.
It's a Classic app so popular I'll probably buy it just to try it out.

In a word

YES

you will most probably work in true brilliance for photo stuff.

One thing though ....  read the manual .... It is vastly superior to dpaint.

little tip for animating.. when your've created your frames and cut a brush ...  press the enter key on the keypad.

It opens a  "flight path" requester. xyz

Hey  8-)

Ok, I think that's enouph to convince me :-D
The 24 bit support through HAM8 will defenitly make my A1200 useffull.
Does it handle well HAM8 artifacts? It's been proved they are avoidable. Photogenics for example doesn't seem to handle that very well, from the info I've seen around, but it was more targeted to Gfx boards I guess.

Definitely! Brilliance is IMHO the best drawing program on AGA.

Brilliance/TrueBrilliance pretty much kick the crap out of DPaint. For awhile there it was apind because it was dongled, but they got rid of that.

@anyone

Brilliance is simply so the best it's unreal.

Yes, there is stuff on th PC that can do this-n-that, but I've yet to find anything to surpass Brilliance in terms of ease of use.

Brilliance you say? You could buy it, or you could   bid on it (currently $15.53 US) here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4598&item=2769370737).  :-D

I only have two of these left. They're brand new, shrink wrapped packages.

Yeah, the included impressive 'Amiga Lagoon' poster (by the one and only pixel-king Jim Sachs) alone is worth the money. It is simply..uhm..brilliant! :-D  :-)
