Title: Heretic Run around?
Post by: nasty on December 12, 2005, 01:12:34 PM
Well I thought i'd give heretic2 demo another chance so I loaded the game up and the little guy keeps running around in a circle to the left, I've reconfigured the controls but that doesnt help, I've unpluged the mouse,keyboard,cd32 pad and he still continues to run around in a circle, I've even stripped the amiga to make sure the keyboard interface was pluged in (it was). Also I have slelected to use joystick but it wont use it. so has anyone else had this problem or know what it would do it, here's a list of mys setup

A1200 PT,PS2 keyboard, PS2 laser mouse(cocolino adapter),cd-32 pad

As I said I did try removing each if not all at the same time and replacing them with amiga stuff but he continues to keep going left.

Any help would be great :-D

Does this happen in any other games? Do you have anything patching/replacing lowlevel.library or similar?

disable the cocolino.driver

do this by typing

1> cocolino.driver quit

I always used to get this issue with mu punchinello mouse adaptor. As has already been said, disabling the driver works fine. :-)

When I said patches I really meant specifically to do with lowlevel.device or anything like that, such as parallel port joystick drivers and such. I don't know if it's relevant, but worth a thought :-)

This is getting strange now, If I run heretic2 demo the guy runs around in a circle, but if i run a whdload game first then exit it and run heretic2 demo he works fine. So does this mean thats there is some sort of conflict or just because I made a windows xp theme for my amiga lol.
