Apparently, QuickSilver sponsored some kind of arse-about in Copenhagen for a commercial where surf bums rode waves created by dropping explosives into the sea.
Interestingly the CEO of Amiga Inc. himself has posted a video on his

If your country just happens to be landlocked, like Germany, why not try
surfing down a filthy river ? Notice in the picture a shaven headed grim reaper (foreground) waiting for the poor sod to knock himself dead on the bridge.
