A1200 + 68030@64Mhz against the world! - SysInfo
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: This beast flies! System is air-cooled (no heatsinks even but it's kinda cold these days :-) - graphics glitches did occur when not cooled by fan), rock-stable. Using 50ns FPMs right now. Boots at 66.667Mhz but only if caches are off for an SC414075RC50 and caches on with an MC68030RC50, but will eventually hang during heavy operations.

Gulliver Posts:1791 | December 01, 2009, 06:16:00 PM I see your overclocked 68030 does not reach 9 sysinfo mips. You should be better of leaving it with its proper clockrate, so that you may be able to use the cpu caches you disabled and get an overall better performance, nearly reaching 10 mips. If you want to overclock it and use your caches, for an about 13 sysinfo mips at 64 mhz, you should add better cooling. Heatsinks dont hurt, you know |
tokyoracer Posts:1590 | November 23, 2009, 05:12:16 PM Cripes 64Mhz (well 63.4 so its nearer 63), is it safe and stable? I'd use some sort of cooling personally if I was you... |
