Toaster Gear 4 Sale...
« on: February 22, 2019, 09:12:58 PM »
Hi all, I'm selling off my Toaster gear at below eBay cost. It's a complete setup except that I don't have the cable that goes between the Toaster card and Flyer card. You can make it your self though. Just throwing this out there for interest sake. The Flyer board is NOS from DiscreetFX (I paid $350 for it) and I never used it. Everything else is tested to work - OK. All the software/books are like new. All the hardware is like new.

Toaster 2000 w/Software - $75
Toaster 4000 w/Software - $125
Toaster Flyer - w/Software - $300 w/2 each Compaq 10GB / 10K-RPM Drives
Octopus Cable - $60
Kitchen Sync w/Manual - $275
Millennium - w/manual - $75
ADPro - w/manual - $75
Magic Lantern - w/manual - $30
The Director - w/manual - $30
Anim Workshop - w/manual - $25
Aegis Animator - $20
Disney Animation Studio - w/manual - $25
Amiga Desktop Video - Book Only - $10
Amiga Vision Pro - w/manual - $30

$1155.00 (lower than eBay) minus another 10% off = $1040.00 for all, or just a reasonable best offer. However, I am motivated to sell.  :D  If sells at $1000.00+ Free UPS Shipping in CONUS. I don't want to piece off - please take all. Thanks!

Well I see that this post has garnered a lot of views but no interest. I obviously have this priced too high. I’m not out to make a monetary killing and would like to see these goodies go to someone who would get some enjoyment out of it. I have this posted in other venues, also without any interest.  :-\  I would really appreciate anyone’s input / advice on pricing this stuff appropriately. Thanks all!  ;)

I'm guessing because it's such a large lot. Not so much the price but that there are so many things. I'm guessing that there is a lot of interest but they are interested in only one or two items and the rest would be dust catchers or something that they'd have to go through selling themselves.

Personally I am in that situation and I think others are too. You may want to consider splitting things - either individually or into small related groups.

Of course it may have nothing to do with that since it's just a wild guess :)

Thanks for your reply Pgovotsos. I think you're "wild guess" is right.  ;) I will rethink this sale and repost with some lower prices and different offer bundles later today.  8)

Just an FYI, I bought two Toaster 4000s and two Video Flyers for what you are asking for your Flyer, though my Flyers didn't come with hard drives.

I just saw a set go for $150 (Flyer & Toaster4000) on eBay that was snapped up pretty quickly.

I know pricing can be difficult with this stuff and a lot depends on when you are offering yours and when someone is specifically looking for what you are offering.

I believe you are referring to my sale. Toaster plus three cards.

I still have a 4000 card for my A4000 machine. Now that just started not working, a low volume high pitched sound comes from it on boot, not recognized.

Thanks much for your reply SnkBitten! Did you buy your VT and VF boards on eBay? That seems fairly inexpensive for the Flyer boards. When I bought my Flyer board from DicreetFX back in 2011, it wasn’t exactly cheap. Although, after I dug up the old thread here on AO, I see that I acquired the Millennium S/W for free as it was part of the DFX Toaster sale, along with a download of Aladdin 4D 5.x. Which I do have the ISO still. So, I will add those for free to the Flyer board sale. Also, looking at SCSI HDD prices on eBay, I’ll toss those in for free too.

This was Pyro’s post….

https://forum.amiga.org/index.php?topic=58260.0

@Pyromania - Can I sell the Flyer board with a burned copy of the Aladdin 4D 5.x ISO you had supplied back in 2011?

I just saw a set go for $150 (Flyer & Toaster4000) on eBay that was snapped up pretty quickly.

I would imagine that set sold quickly as (I thought) the Flyer boards are less available? I don’t really want to go the eBay route as I haven’t sold anything there for over 15 years. I don’t even know the selling rules anymore. But, I might have to.

I know pricing can be difficult with this stuff and a lot depends on when you are offering yours and when someone is specifically looking for what you are offering.

That’s true! After going back thru that post, I noticed that Pyro offered slaapliedje this! “return it for a full refund or we can cut you a deal on a A4000 Desktop. To help you out we will let one go for $299. The choice is up to you.” UNREAL!  slaapliedje, did you snag the A4000 D/T?

Back to revising my 1st post.

@giZmo350

You own one legal copy of Aladdin4D 5.x, you can sell it or do whatever you want with one copy of it.

Hi tonyvdb... I found the email from when I bought the Kitchen Sync setup. I paid $220.00 for it + $26.00 shipping (that shipping was a bit much!). I can let you have it for $220.00 + shipping. If you don't have the funds at this time, I can hold it for you.  :) Watcha think?

When I sold mine I only got $175 and Im a bit strapped for cash right now. I would be greatfull if you would hold it for me but Ill be honest $150 is about all I could do.

No hard feelings if someone offers more and you sell it.

By the way Art Department Pro is a really good package for anyone interested in converting or working on images on the Amiga its very powerful (I have it and would never part from it).

Well, I guess the lowest (ATT) I would take is $185.00 + shipping but I'll hold it for you, no problem.  ;)

I mean, I'm not hurting for cash but the wife and I are trying to sell off EVERYTHING not of importance. Why? Because Michigan has a new Democrat governor whom has proposed (today) the most unbelievable tax increases (shcools, gas & roads AGAIN!) in the history of the state. Two years ago the state raised taxes by millions to fix the roads but 100% went to the schools! I'm paying $250.00 / month just in property tax (which could go up another 20%) - I just got my SEV yesterday and it went up another 10%!. We have the highest Insurance & Registration fees in the US on top of unreal utility rates. AND... now FREE COLLEGE FOR EVERYBODY from the ages of 18 to 26! If my wife and I were both retired we could not even buy food. Literally! Oh, and we're debt free! Nothin - Natta! We want out of this state and FAST! Headed to my previous state of (the Gulf Coast) Mississippi! Ocean Springs baby! We're looking at houses now. So hey ya'll, help a Miggy guy out! I have so much stuff on CL it's ridiculous! LOL Ahem, sorry for the sob story....

No hard feelings if someone offers more and you sell it.

Meh, ya never know.

By the way Art Department Pro is a really good package for anyone interested in converting or working on images on the Amiga its very powerful (I have it and would never part from it).

Last night I watched a YT vid on it and liked it for the converting images. You've convinced me to keep it now.   ;D

Actually even the asking price for the Kitchen Sync. I understand the need for extra cash these days :)
