Lexmark Printer For a Classic Amiga???
« on: December 06, 2008, 12:56:07 PM »
Hello All,

I been thinking about a printer for while now and seen one for only $99 (AUD) to connect to my A4000T and G5 Mac. It's got all the bells and all that. Its a mulifunction scanner, fax, etc  which also has a built screen to show you what your print out will look like before it's printed out.
Also its a WiFi printer so I can connected it via my Ethernet card (CBM 2065)

Heres the model Lexmark X4850

Also I have been told even if it compatible with my Mac there ain't any drivers on the Amiga to support the printer.

Please I would like to hear your opinions before I rush out and buy one.

Thanks in advance.

amiga1084: I highly doubt you can find a driver for it for Amiga. I've heard that Lexmark outright refused to give any Amiga software developers information needed to make drivers.
I even wonder about a Mac driver...

(Just did a quick check... even the all-mighty TurboPrint 7.60 only supports the Lexmark ExecJet II, doesn't sound too promising...   :-(  )
