@ferrelsl

There's a massive difference between spending  $1500 on a bog standard PC in a pretty case (and not receiving it, it seems) and spending $3000 on low-volume custom hardware.

We know you don't like the X1000 - but calling people stupid just because their priorities are different to yours? Come on.

The X1000 is to some people worth the money. It's not to you, so don't buy it, that's fine. But please appreciate that other people have different priorities - calling them stupid is not the way.

Think what you will.  Sorry, but I call them like I see them.  There's nothing intelligent about spending $3000 on as-yet unreleased hardware that is based on 2004 technology (beta test hardware aside).  It might make sense if this was an antique business, but this isn't the antique business.  It's about technology.
I have to disagree, even though I myself agree with the assessment that the X1000 sure as hell ain't worth $3000. As others have said, there's a big difference between shelling out megabucks for something that's just a cheapo PC board in a (poorly-designed) novelty case, and paying that kind of money for something that's actually a real, different thing. (Not enough of a difference to convince me, but that's a matter of degree, not nature.)

This isn't about raw technological horsepower for everyone; if it was, the question would be, why bother buying anything but a PC to begin with? Some of us do like to have different computers, even if they're not competitive computers.
Computers: Amiga 1200, DEC VAXStation 4000/60, DEC MicroPDP-11/73

I didn't call anyone stupid.  I said the concept of spending $3000 USD on outdated technology is a stupid concept. And just because something is made in low-volume doesn't justify the high price.  The low-volume might mean that it cost the manufacturer a fortune to produce it, but that doesn't mean the product has the same worth as the production cost.  Companies go out of business all the time for such poor business models....overpriced and underpowered products makes for poor sales, which in the end puts companies out of business.....which is where they belong for producing such crap.

Another talking head forums account of C-USA.  You do realize that the fire is going to get so big on the poor experience on the user end, you simply won't be able to snuff it, right?  I've read dozens of bad experiences with these products and this company on your own forums, and it all gets swept under the rug on your forums.  Threads removed, users banned.  Remember that guy that bought a C64x and his wifi wouldn't work, and his system was too physically hot to even touch?  I am sure he remembers it clearly.

That's what LLC's are for, I guess.

Welcome to A.org!

Thanks for the welcome. I have been here since the beginning. The only other post I have made is my discovery that the iWin website went offline. I am an active member of the Reddit community and I contacted OP and offered to help him out any way I could. He informed me that it was coming. If you wold like to know what I actually do for a living check out my website: http://www.partycentralsupplies.com Unfortunately I do not sell furniture, computers and smart microwaves just party supplies.

I certainly hope you have bigger tits then I do, and some hair on your head.  No, I'm from Canada South, also known as South Florida.  It's 81F and partly cloudy, just the way I like it and judging by the license plates I see, half of Canada does to.

Actually only the old people from Canada like Florida, those who are young stay in Canada because it's hard to obtain Kokanee beer in the states and how are you supposed to have a party without Kokanee? Drink Budweiser and Coors Light??? :barf: No thanks.

Also Justin Beiber, Celine Dion, and Nickelback all moved to the USA from Canada. Do you think that a Canadian is going to risk going into the same country that they live in? What if they happen to run into them? What if they started SINGING???

Celine is a customer of mine, nice family. Her house is a water amusement park on Jupiter Island.

Please give her good service, mow her lawn, pick up her dry cleaning, braid her hair, make her feel that Florida is her new home, just do whatever you can do to ensure that she does not move back to Canada. The Canadian Government has already had to issue several official apologies to the rest of the world because of her singing. After she did a cover of "I drove all Night" NATO threatened air strikes in retaliation. We only have a dozen or so CF18's, we wouldn't last a day.

Canada is a country rich in natural resources, if Celine moves back and records another album it could give the United States just they excuse they need to launch a military invasion to "liberate us"

Yeah your right, we do sell most of our stuff to the Americans. Plus I think a US invasion would be great because we haven't burned the White House down in a couple hundred years and I think most Canadians would like a chance to have a nice wiener roast and s'mores.
