There is a favourites folder with some 1000 tunes in various formats on the ftp (615 actual 'mods'). You're right there are not that many playlists, but the chipfest one for example has a good selection of chiptunes. Modland has some 75793 mods (protracker/noisetracker etc) currently.
Hmmm I appear to have killed the FTP whilst accessing
http://ftp://ftp.modland.com/pub/favourites/Protracker/ with Site Explorer on Freedownload Manager... I didn't even get a response for the directory listing
EDIT: Tried again now it's back up, same thing. Guess I'll have to download them one at a time through the browser (when it's back).
EDIT2: Looks as though it thought I was mirroring it. Sorted now.
