System : A4000D + 16MB Ram + Buster 11 + 060 CPU
Mediator PCI 4000Di 3V. MK-III
- RTL Ethernet Card
- Radeon 9200 128MB
- CT4570 Sound Card
- Spider II USB 2.0
Fresh OS 3.9 Installation
BB 1-2-3-4 Installation
Mediator Quick Install (CD version)
2.0 Update Quick Install
2.5 Update Quick Install
Copy latest stable (tried beta too) pci.library
Picasso96 install. pick cybervision 64/3d as gfx.
go to devs:monitors. rename it to Radeon.
go to information and change board type to Radeon and save.
According to tutorials i must double click radeon.
i do, vga monitors goes for "auto detect" but stays on black screen. i can move mouse for hours but whenever i click any pixel system hangs and reboots.
then after reboot i go to picasso96mode to change board etc.
whenever i start picasso96mode hangs again and reboots.
what is wrong?
this system was running before but was in box for 4 months.
P.S: I tried ONLY install radeon (leaving other pci cards out) but no help.

Where do you have your Radeon in your system? Try it in the top slot. I have the older, 5v version, but it's pretty picky on where the graphics card is. Also, make sure it's seated straight in, I had loads of problems until I realized the bar at the top that holds the bus board into place has slots that the board goes into to keep it straight :P

UPDATE
I do my installations (only the os and boingballs) over winuae and try it in real amiga (doing the rest, mediator and picasso etc.). Today i have tried to install os on winuae but boing balls on real amiga.
It worked.
Now lets see the other problems
NExt question is i can see my CT4750 sound card in AHI. there are many settings and many units. Which to choose and how to try. Which games or applications uses sound card?

UPDATE
reinstalled drivers. send an email to elbox for updated spider.device. It works now, beside ports i can now see devices. And whenever i plug a usb flash drive it is recognized by name.
But cannot see my disk.
always get error
"media does not seem to be fat or ntfs formatted"
i tried with both fat32 and ntfs.
What could be wrong?
-
Well, to get the most obvious out of the way... is it formatted fat32 or ntfs? I haven't tried ntfs on mine, just fat32, and it works as long as you install the fat32 bits that come with Poseidon.

do you have fat95 in L:?
it can be had off aminet as fat95.lha
