Seems like a blatant ripping off of the Amiga trademarks? And since it will work in various other Amiga models, calling it an "A1200" mouse makes no sense.

Yeah, the fight over trademarks has gotten ridiculous.

It'll soon be

USB keyboard A3000
Mouse mat A2000
Wifi dongle A1000
Power cord A500

Excellent news! I was looking for a new mouse after my cable split and currently have a ps/2 mouse and adapter so it's good to know there's another option again.

@amigakit do these mice avoid the RMB click bug suffered by some ps/2 and USB adapters (inc. your usb mouse adapter) on some A1200s (inc. mine)?
A1200 in DIY Tower. 3.2 ROMs (softkicking 3.2.2), OS 3.2.2 with ClassicWB, CF card, CD RW and IDE to SD adapter running off the internal IDE port (using the A4000 4-port IDE adapter from Amigakit), Pistorm 32 lite with Pi4/2GB/Emu68 or Blizzard 1230-IV, with 32MB 60ns RAM and 50MHz 68882 FPU. 3COM PCMCIA Network card running with Miami DX.
MorphOS on PowerMac G5 and ATI 9600 pro

Everything you mention is within reason now, they even have A2000, A3000 and A4000 - all TM - power cords.

Or maybe AmigaKit just thinks some customers might be interested in like-branded accessories to go with their Amiga setups?

Not everything is some weird trademark conspiracy...

For that, there is no need for any ™ or ® or "offically branded"... and what you mean "like-branded"? What branded setups match these?

Not weird, just silly, counter productive and a waste of time and money.

(I notice that the word "conspiracy" has been misused quite a bit lately in amiga land, time to include it in the amiga buzzword bingo.)

This is a pretty standard practice for all sorts of businesses. It would be unusual *not* to do it.

Uh, most of them? The 1200 and the 500 are and were the most popular Amigas and I'm sure some users would be interested in having mice, mouse pads, dust covers, etc., that match. That's the market AmigaKit is going after.

I'm using the word "conspiracy" facetiously because of the constant drama around minor product announcements and the paranoid suggestion that they're all part of some Machiavellian long-game for legal influence.

Like I said in the other thread:

It's a mouse. Either buy it or don't. That's it.

You keep using wrong references, this not a long-game, this is a short one - the end game. Their trademarks are pointless, they are incapable of defending them, the time and money put into registering them is a waste, and in the meantime, what should be their REAL business seems more and more neglected. Their reputation is going downhill, their customer base is shrinking, they keep pissing off people east and west. A few «officially branded» swag products don’t help much, rather the opposite. I used to be a rather loyal customer, but with their actions lately…. no, of course I am not buying anything from them ever again. Since you like referrnces - AmigaKit has jumped the shark.
