Sold Picasso IV with Concierto

Did you get the full price? I notice you had a few offers. I'm very curious to know if there is a volume demand (no pun intended) for Concierto cards. MASTATABS has the design plans for them and the code for the drivers etc.

No, but I was not looking for full price. i was looking for offers. I simultaneously got off eBay offers for the P4 and the Concierto and sold them, so I pulled the store listing. The Concierto sold for $150.

Hmm... with those prices I think I'll save up for a bit to finally make my Picasso IV complete... Or maybe sell some stuff first :-)

Yeah the CD32 dev boards are interesting, probably worth a bit.
what CDTV CR "software" came with it? I havent been able to find any documents or software for it at all. (Although a new Welcome disc was designed for it)

The black A4K will make some money too I bet.

Nope, that makes you a smart shopper :-D

As -D- stated, one Picasso IV sold from the most recent listing with one left(from that listing).

The only down-side to a PIV is that it's maximum resolution in 24-bit is now below that of the native resolution of modern LCD panels and at maximum resolution it is quite slow (I dunno if that is the gfx chip, software or Zorro III bus).

That said it is the mutts nuts if you've never had an Amiga with a gfx card, especially if you have a CRT monitor which can do 50Hz.

I had only ever had a PIV before so I naturally assumed all Amiga gfx cards were as easy to use and so tightly coupled with scandoubler.

It wasn't until I saw a friend with a Voodoo3 Mediator that I realised how great they are.

We really need a new gfx card with integrated scandoubler if LCD's keep getting higher native resolutions with terrible down-scaling hardware. (Going off thread a bit)

Added Surf Squirrel and Lime Green iBook 466 to no reserve auctions.

-Edit-
The other Picasso IV in that listing is now sold.

sorry dudes I got the last PIV. It was a great deal and the only reason I was hesitating was the recent economic situation. But offers like this don't come very often (well, ever again maybe ?) so I decided to bite the bullet :) now it's time to work my ass hard for CC invoice that's on its way

thanks red for the great job, scoring this lot and offering it to the community.

I thought it might go quickly. :) The PIV is often heralded as the ultimate, so I definitely look forward to checking it out.

Thx again red :pint:

even with slight pixelation, I'd choose an LCD over CRT any day just for convenience.

It's not pixelation though. It's scaler filter blurring and scan rate conversion. Bye bye smooth scrolling. But I think this discussion is for another time, and another thread.

I do not think anyone has the choice of CRT over LCD these days as they no longer make CRT monitors!

I got a nice 19inch CRT, lovely display, if any one wants it cheap.  Shipping might be a b1tch though.   :-D
