Very good flickerfixer solution!
« on: April 22, 2008, 05:06:26 PM »
Hello everyone!

I just wanted to let you all know I recently purchased this on eBay and used a DB-23 to VGA-15 adapter (such as those provided with the Amiga 3000 and 4000) and it behaves as the perfect external flicker fixer for the Amiga.

Works both in NTSC and PAL, supports overscan, uses enough display resolution bits for full compatibility with AGA.

Just wonderful! Love it!

Looks nice! Not a whole lot cheaper than a dedicated Amiga scandoubler, but it has the distinct advantage of being available.

Can you post some photos/reports of it in action? I'm curious to see how it reacts to SuperHiRes, Super72, and Multiscan screenmodes.

Yeah,

I had just bought one of these last week after my KVideo LCD TV box was found to be lacking, but had not got around to posting how I got on with it.

I cant comment on the AGA compatibility (Im sure AlexH will be able to say whether its yay or nay  ;-) ), but it seems ok. I wasnt able to confirm any of the other monitor modes.

Regardless it will tide me over till Jens scandoubler arrives :-)

I'll take some pics tonight and put them up when I get home... either using my A1200 or A4000.

Ha! I'll still need it for my A4000, unless Jens is thinking of developing a scandoubler/flickerfixer for that model too! :-)

Nice find... But where does one find a cable to connect this to my A1200?
