Why stick whit a tiny drive?
SCSI bus don't have the size limit of IDE drives on Amiga.

Its all i need realy as i have an external jaz drive for storage.and also an external 2 gig scsi hard drive...but this drive is 3 times the height of a normal hard drve and i dont want to scre it to my gvp ;-)

It doesn't? I thought all drives had the 4GB limit (in the OS) prior to the 3.5/3.9 ROM patch.

Could this solve your problem?

i'd rather go down the scsi road as its there present on my gvp with memory.

small drives are old and usually unreliable. most of the stuff you'll get will be living its final moments most probably. If I were you, I'ld get a brand new 9.1 - 18 gb drive and use the first 4 gbs. These drives are slowly phasing out and I guess stores are trying to get rid of their stock at the moment, so they're available new. You may need to get a SCA-50 pin, 68-50 pin converter, which can also be found easily.

I'm beginning to agree with that route.....my main amiga i use is my 1200 which has a 10 gig ide, i just wanted a small scsi to put my a2000 back to how it was.

i can swap a 2.5" ide drive for 1200/600 if any takers

I have a lot of SCSI drives 2gig, 4.5gig, and 9gig. They are all 68 pin wide and I have used them for my A4oooT and they worked great (with a 68 to 50 pin adapter, I will see if I can locate some of them, I have cleared out majority of my Amiga stuff). You can have what you like for cost of shipping, not sure how much it would cost to ship across the pond, I live in Canada.
PM me if you are interested.
