Hello everyone,
I have a small pile of chips here, including almost a dozen 3.1 ROMs from dead Amiga 2000 computers that were used in a college to teach the usage of the video toaster back in the 90s.
Don't even ask about the good Amiga 2000, all of them have already been sold.
I am now trying to sell the 3.1 ROMs. What price would seem fair for these ?
Thank you all!
-
I would say $20 each shipped is fair.
-
I've seen these almost constantly on ebay for $25-$30. The seller seems to constantly relist, so either they're overpriced - or he sells a lot of them...
If they would be $10-$15/ea, I'd be in for a couple.
-
I might use a couple since the 500 and 2000 use the same if the price is reaonable.
-
I would most definetly like to get a 3.1 ROM!
-
Ok then,
I announce that I have at least 6 tested ROMs with KS3.1 (40.63) in them for sale.
They were taken from dead Amiga 2000 computers and so they should work well with A500, A600 and A2000 computers.
I know that in some A500, it may require some hardware modifications for them to work well but I wouldn't know what exactly.
I will sell them for 18$ each. Shipping to the US and Canada is 7$, shipping to the rest of the world is 8$. Shipping is the same price if you buy more than one chip.
ex:
-you buy one chip and live in the US, your total cost is 18+7=25$
-you buy two chips and you live in norway, your total cost is 36+8=44$
All in US dollars.
Please PM me.
Thank you all!
Added edit:
===================================================
A friend informs me that if your A500 already has KS2.04 in it then KS3.1 should be a direct plug-in replacement.

PMAIL sent ...

Well...I got 2 PMs to which I replied... but not a single paypal payment. :-?
Somehow I would have expected a little bit more interest for these chips.
Am I missing something here?
-
I'd bite if the price were lowered a bit..

PM sent :-)

Only two chips left...
-
PM sent for 2x of them. :-)

Damn good cover. I need to get some more 27C400's and fire up the EPROM programmer ;-)
Awe, I am sorry, I'm just naturally cynical.

Well... did anybody here recently buy original KS 3.1 chips from Vesalia or Software Hut? They're not Micronix 23CXXXX ROMs, they're erasable 27c400 chips...
The only way to tell they are original chips and not copies is either the sticker or the manufacturing date code of the chip...
Buying a kickstart copyrighted in 1993 stored on an EPROM manufactured in 1991 is kinda suspicious...
These chips came from dead machines that were left outside exposed to rain and snow so all their original stickers dried out. They were safe from the light inside the rusting casings. However, I had to put on electrical tape to block the light once I took them out.
I am still playing lego with the parts from these dead 2000 and I am slowly but surely building another working one I will soon sell on eBay. I just sold one 2 weeks ago.
As I posted a few months ago, one of these machines had a dead cat inside... nice find huh?
