This is an original chassis from an Amiga 1500. The Amiga 1500 was a re-release of the Amiga 2000, with two floppies and no hard drive, and was only released in Europe. The back of the chassic claims it is an A2000, and I'm sure if you took the A1500 sticker off the front there would be an A2000 sticker underneath
It contains no components at all. It is an AT form factor (to the bets of my knowledge), and contains room for 10 expansion cards at the back, as well as labeled spaces for Video, Parallel, Disk Drive, Mono, Left, and Right Audio, and Serial ports, as well as a power connector and a PSU fan. It is in Desktop form (i.e. wider than it is tall)

The guy says it would be kewl to put a PC board in there..
Ewwwgh! :-x

And it's not as if the A2000 case is pretty or anything =).
-
I've got an A2000HD in the closet....,
hmm never occurred to me to put one
of my PeeCee mainboards in there.
Perhaps I should try this, just for the "ugly" factor of it all
-
Could it be possibly as ugly as this?

oh CBM... alas we hardly knew ye.

@Onetrack
I quite liked it someone should do the same to an imac and have you seen the xbox pc that was cool. :-D

Actually, we have 20 signed A2000 cases that will be offered through Computer City in Holland that will be configured with the Pegasos II and sold as a special commemorative computer...;-)
Oh, and yes...they are all signed by the A2000 crew!
Best regards,
Raquel and Bill :-)

The hell with that...
I want a Millenium Falcon ITX machine! W00t!
Although I'd have put the connectors underneath, and installed a removable panel to hide the power and reset switches to better preserve the Falcon's lines...

@BBRV:
Can you buy the signed case without the Pegasos? I might buy one to to put a Commodore One in :-D

IMO the A2000 case would be an awkward choise for a modern mobo!
Its NOT ATX; and the PSU-5¼" shelf on the right is not easy to remove.
The twin-floppy stage on top of that is not much easier!
I keep my Hard Drives in a separate Tower Case as, removing the monitor, the screws at the lower corners, that PSU-5¼" shelf ...
just to put in or take out a drive gets to be TOO much!
I don't even use the rear Power-switch -- but switch it at the wall!
Modern Mac Boxes are some of the easiest Cases for internal access.

The A1 -- Its a small step for a computer - a BIG step for AmigaKind!
