We have listed an A1200 / A600 networking package on EBay ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8130919529 ).
If you wish to share files between your Amigas, PCs or Macs then a networking package is essential.
You can also plug your Amiga into a Broadband Router and equip your computer with fast internet access.

Item is listed for 3 days and is cheaper than the usual price. Worldwide Shipping also available
-
2 days left to grab a network card.
-
Which brand/model PCMCIA card is that btw? Just curious as it seems to have amigakit.com sticker on it (nothing wrong with rebadging!)
-
Judging by the ethernet cable, it's a 3Com card with an amiga sticker on it :-)

ive bought a couple of 3com net cards and they didnt work on my miggy :-(
its good that cards that *actually* work are rebadged so us amigans can buy with confidence
may put a bid on if price right

You're a stooge!!!
You're a bloody stooge!
How much are you being paid?
Look at your last posts:
Re: 128MB SIMMS AVAILABLE
Just seen the price. It seems a good deal for rare single sided memory.
And:
davem:-
Re: 64MB SIMMS AVAILABLE (LOW PROFILE/SINGLE SIDED)
Any discounts for two?
---------------------
amigakit:-
Well yes, we have a 128MB Kit - that is 2x 64MB SIMMS (LOW-PROFILE) for a discounted price.
Hope that helps!..

Look at davem's profile - he only ever posts on threads advertising amigakits products. Never feel the need to post about anything else then?
It reflects as well on them as tjaoz's posts do on Elbox.
-
Can someone employ me to promote their products?
I could do with a bit of extra cash...

good luck on getting either of those types (128mb or 64mb) of SIMMs to work on your amiga. Supposedly my A1200's microbiotics card supports such monster SIMMs, but the one time I had one of those to test it, it didn't work, nor did it even fit anyway.
Far better off to mess around with 32mb FPM SIMMs and call it good. Remember that you're hard pressed to really even use 32mb on most amigas doing nearly anything, let alone 128MB. My A2000 webserver for AmigaU in most cases only uses around 2MB ram, leaving the other 62MB mostly idle.....

@amigau
Hmm, I have 2 x 128 MB ram modules installed on my BlizzardPPC board without any problems. Sure, it would have helped if the board had 2 x 45 degree ram sockets instead of only one, but I can live with it. Phase5 boards rock!
@Cyberus
Hmm, I sure don't hope you are right on this one, but if you are, then I hope there is someone out there with a bad taste in their mouth. We certainly don't need more "dealers" that isn't playing by the book. I must admit that it looks odd; I would think twice if I was about to order something from there.
-
OK, so cough up - what amithlon machine are you running here, and what's it doing? :) there is NO original amiga out there that can handle 1GB of ram, is there? Unless one of those prometheus cards has a ram slot or two? That would be the only way I can think of....
and even assuming that was true, what are you running on an amiga that could be using that much ram anyway?

I believe that Piru has mentioned that he is a Peg user.
-
Yeah that's Peg2 with 2 x 512MB DDR-400 modules (http://www.iki.fi/sintonen/hw.html).

I remember something about a 040 card that could take 1GB. I could be wrong.

GCC (esp compiling c++) is a hog. I also like to master CDs in RAM: ;-)

I think the latter is your culprit - sneaky!

It can take an age in Canadian customs, I lost a gearbox in there for about 2 months, and that was only going to the US! (part of that time was in tax mediation, though)
General feedback has been good so far, from more than one person.

I have already asked Royal Mail to look into this but because the value of the transaction was so low (£14.99) Nenad didn't pay extra for insured tracking. The Royal Mail cannot trace the parcel. As a gesture of goodwill and a show of faith I have provided Nenad with a full refund. In future I may insist on using trackable international parcels though and any customers that have problems, please talk to us before you assume the worst about AmigaKit.
AmigaKit.com is new to the Community- it is understandable that Amiga users are cautious because of all the previous unscrupolous individuals out there that have ripped users off in the past. It will take time to earn trust in this market and it is not at all expected overnight. However AmigaKit.com will always demonstrate good, fair customer service.
EDIT: A600 has now been returned to AmigaKit- turns out there was some delivery problems, Nenad has repaid for the items and they will be sent out again to him by insured Airmail.

@Piru
I don't think there's any Amiga turboboard out there that handles more than 256MB ram (BPPC) but the AmiJoe supposedly could take 512MB.
When looking at that there's not reported any chip mem so it's quite obvious something is up. ;)
Anyway, as far as I know the Amiga can theoreticaly take up to 4GB memory so nothing there to stop you from inserting a hole bunch of those 128MB Zorro cards to boost your memory.
So I'd say on a classic Amiga the maximum fastram would be 256MB on BPPC + 7 * 128MB on Zorro = 1152MB memory.

Don't you mean "because were honest and value your continued business"?
-
It could say far worse things such as "becuase we got caught in public on this one". :-o
-
yeah, had the AmiJoe ever really existed in public beyond the proto stage at MetaBOX. That was really a tragic one, I really wanted one of those cards, but even Dave Haynie couldn't save that one.
as to the 4GB thing, aren't you referring to disk partition size, not RAM? or is 'memory addressing' and the 4GB limit on OS 3.1 partition sizes the same thing?
kevin
-
I'm not reffering to the the disksize no but I can be mistaking on the exact number as it was some time since I checked up on that. Gut it's not surprizing that the disk for ffs and ram adress have the same max... after all it's just a questiuon of bits right? ;-)
