Description: My A1200 in its original desktop case loaded with 3.1 ROMs, Viper 1260, 64MB RAM, 4GB harddisk, Flickermagic FF+SD, Delfina Flipper and a 3com PCMCIA network card. Had to ditch the diskdrive.

| June 11, 2005, 07:08:22 AM Nope, it does not need a CD/DVD drive because I don't need one. Everything can be transferred via the network. :-) I have the original RF shield stored somewhere.. But it works nicely without it and I didn't want to cut it to pieces anyway. The setup has evolved a bit since the first photo, here is the current state of the machine. |

| January 23, 2004, 08:33:13 AM Nice machine! It actually closely resembles my own jam-packed A1200, mine sans Delfina. At one time I was going to fit a Prelude 1200 and CF-IDE setup, but those ideas have lost some steam for the present (until I get bored with my Pegasos)... The Travelstar is an excellent drive...I wish there were 3.5" drives that quiet... And good thinking on those fans...the SD/FF in particular gets rather hot...one intake fan, one exhaust, I presume? ;-) |
