I bought my Commodore A1200 on preorder when they were first available, so I was one of the first in North America.  The label says "Made in UK", but the mobo says it was assembled in Scotland.  To this day I have no yellowing whatsoever, and it's set up next to a window.  :-?

It was next to a window from 1996-1999 where it was used constantly. Then it was put into storage (in its original box) in a cupboard until 2002 when it was used for about another year, but not next to a window this time. Its also the first time ive noticed the yellowing process beginning. :-(

@Mikey

Where have you been using/keeping the Amiga 1200 since 1996?  Trying to get ideas as how the dreaded Yellowing is caused.  I know its the sunlight, but is it the direct sunlight or just sunlight in general?  My 1200 is in a dark room with no bright sunlight so it seems to be holding ok...

Unfortunately, my A1200 doesn't get much use anymore so its yellowing process has reduced for the moment!  :-)

I've had my A1200 for 3 years and no yellowing yet  :-)
Just clean it loads and stop it getting dusty

My old system has yellowed up a treat. I cant actually see yellow, but well, I can see white and it sure doesnt look like a sheet of pristine white A4 paper, thats for sure!
