I predict:

England 1 - 2 Croatia

Well, I'm being realistic!

Well, after tonight's result against Croatia, I feel like getting a train all the way to Scotland, finding KennyR and shouting "Eng-er-land! Eng-er-land! Eng-er-land!, Eng-er-land! Eng-er-land! Eng-er-ler-and!, Eng-er-land! Eng-er-land! Eng-er-land!, Eng-ger-ler-and! Eng-ger-land!"  :-D  :-D

Of course I am a person who is modest in victory and humble in defeat. But to annoy Kenny, it'd be worth it :-)

Well, you'll have to beat someone better until you can impress me. Beating Croatia was a foregone conclusion. ;-)

(Although England did do well tonight. England matches are always great to watch. Even if the commentator was being an arse again.)

Anyway, let's see if England can do well against a much stronger team in their next game - Portugal.

I worry about this Rooney guy too. He's a great goalscorer but the media are putting him up on a pedestal. It's a long way to fall. If they want him to score goals for England and get them through these much harder stages, maybe they should try not putting so much pressure and expectation on their players? Also seeing an end the public relations execution to the players who DARE make a mistake that gets England put out or whatever would be nice.

Me too, we would rather have England rather than France, but I cant see France loosing to Switzerland though (or even a tie).
Nah, I think Greece would have a better chance against France. Yes, France has one more point then England, but I think they fluked out against England when they scored two quick goals in extra time. Nah, England has the better team. At any rate, it's now settled, France vs Greece this Friday!!!

I was hoping to play against England in the quarter-finals. Last time they played with us had to dive all time in order to get free kicks for Beckham. They equalized in the 93 minute after a non-existing foul :pissed: . I though it's time for revenge but it seems that we have to wait a bit further. Maybe we should kick out the French first...

it seems that the Dutch football fans aren't really fond of a person called "Dick Advocaat" because he kicked out the best player at the match Czech-Netherlands (3-2)
The player is called "Robben" and is a Groninger.

Now they hardly can win anymore.
That's what happen when you kick out a Groninger :-P

Some nasty fans out there. At the Den vs Swe game some fans held a sign that read "2 + 2 = Nordic Victory; bye bye Italia". It was pretty quiet in our "little Italy" the other day. Btw, speaking of Italia, what's with the blue & white uniforms? Why are they wearing tradional Greek colours?!?  :pissed:  Well, now they can root for Greece! :-P

EDIT: Oh yeah, bye bye Germany! But you Germans can root for Greece too, we have a German coach you know!!!  :-P

@Speel

What about Patrick Kluivert, he was a class player. Didn't he get left out as well?

I'm looking forward to us playing Portugal tonight. Hopefully we'll knock the hosts out and get to the semi finals!

this is the "football" thread, right???
i haven't read it. sorry, too busy.

a friend just sent me a wonderfully rude flash anim.

Orgasms from around the world

this is not "work friendly". it's cartoon, so, no it's not porn. RELAX!

but it features several cultures around the world and i figured this would help "unite" everyone after this game is now over.

or, maybe not!

ps. there is no "american" represented, because, as we all know, americans don't have sex. they just talk about it alot.
the no CARB diet- no Cheney, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld or Bush.
