Never know, they may see this a door opening for them to dump expensive hardware development for their industrial customer(s).
IIRC, AOS/MOS has been a secondary market for ACube products. Which would make their industrial customer(s) the primary market. Offering something that is cheaper (and possibly with more profit) with the possibility of being faster in the future is a way to expand market share. If that means the secondary market won't see upgrades but continue existing production line as needed, wouldn't you opt for doing so?
