Title: Commodore OS - Now Officially Always in Beta

Bit of brilliance over at c-a.org, something that has been speculation (and source of ridicule) is now confirmed by Leo:

Current policy is that Commodore OS will always remain in beta like Google products so there is unlikely to be a Final.
Commodore OS is always a working product.

First of all, this isn't true - Google eventually releases production versions of it's products, it just takes a very long time sometimes, like Gmail was in "beta" for years (but lost the beta tag in 2009).

Second, what about Barry's promise to mail the release version of COSV to to all the orginal C64x customers? Guess since it's always in beta he doesn't have to do that, huh?

Old C=USA forum was conviniently erased so no evidences, but can you describe that promise? Oh yes, some people paid 2x for hardware and got just Ubuntu CD they could download on their own ...
