I'm an Air Traffic controller. Some of our systems still run MS DOS.
Enjoy your next flight  :-P

Believe or not: even today the local TV cable services are managed by an A1200! They use it to the programs channel.

It's funny to see when a power failure occurs: you see the WB loading (like 20s 'till Scala shows up), eheh.

10 years ago or so, I did see a red "Software Failure" guru flashing on an ATM in a McDonalds inside a Wal*Mart.  I have also seen evidence of many ATMs that ran AmigaOS, but only that time was there an actual crash.

Nearest thing to this for me was the baggage handling area on returning to UK Heathrow. The large plasma screens had crashed and were showing the Windoze bsod

I miss the days when Amigas ran public access TV station here in the US... They'd crash and you'd see the GURU error flashing at the top of your TV screen.  It was surreal to see this error with the Amiga hooked to your TV, but turned off.

I saw another cash machine running McAfee Virus Scan the other day (Sunday 2/04/04)

Some people were trying to put their cards into the machine, without looking for the prompt or anything...

edit: I've also seen Window error requester windows on monitors at London Bridge (very busy train station)

Hey, I saw one recently running Win3.1!

here in Italy, there is a day-hospital for cancer x-ray therapy, that runs on a Win 3.XX system!!!!
It's a shame . .  .a sad shame.

Ciao

I have a penchant for those quiz machines you get in pubs here in the UK, and I've seen them with a blue screen of death...

When I recently flew into Glasgow from Toronto, some of the monitors at Glasgow airport had windows error requesters.

Scary.

When people will realise that windows is not safe and secure for home computing, not to mention any professional use, like... ATM machine :))))? This is one very nice picture :)
