blizzard scsi gurus needed...
« on: June 24, 2003, 10:23:10 PM »
A while back I bought a Blizzard SCSI kit from Amibench. The guy who sold it had made his own cable from the board to 4 50pin IDC SCSI connectors.
He said this is faster than the original cable. I haven't tried it until now and I've lost his mail address but I've noticed that he has plugged it in so that the red power line of the cable is connected to the board exactly the opposite to as recommended for the original cable in the Phase5/DCE manual.
I've managed to get hold of a Jaz drive and want to make use of the board now but don't want to risk blowing everything sky high. Does anyone have knowledge of this cable solution and should it be plugged in as it is currently - or has he made a genuine mistake when packing it and the red power line should be as the manual says?

Sorry that was a bit of a ramble but I hope I made sense.

Thanks
