PowerIcons on Workbench 3.9
PowerIcons on Workbench 3.9
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: A quick example of PowerIcons & the 48x48 icon set found on AmiNet.

I done this for people who, like me normally, haven't got time to 'try' something like this out since it takes an age to install icons where you want them only to find out you don't like them.

I've had to improvise in places since the icon set was originally for Linux.

You may notice, my "EmergencyBench" drive is where I'm testing them... Just in case I don't like them ;-)

The original Workbench resolution was 1152x864 so I had to cut it down to a width of 1024.

Earthworm Jim
the soil he did crawl
Earthworm Jim
a super suit did fall

Jim was just a dirt eating
chewing length of worm, flash
but all that came to a crash
and gave him lots of power

Earthworm Jim
he's such a groovy guy
Earthworm Jim
he rockets through the sky

cruising through the universe
having lots of fun
here comes Earthworm Jim
you know that he's the mighty one

despite his great big muscles
and his really big ray gun
Jim is still and earthworm
but then he's the only one
with a super suit to make him really super strong
Jim can be a winner if we only sing along....

Earthworm Jim
we think he's mighty fine
Earthworm Jim
a hero for all time

Earthworm
Earthworm
Earthworm

Earthworm Jim
hooray for Jiiiiiiimmmmmmmm

Couldn't resist :-D

Damn 24bit+higher icons gives the workbench an overall much more professional... err... maybe not professional, but a much better look and as if its more... ahh... usable? faster? pretier? "more up to date" is what i think i was looking for.

Hehe, I like using drawers rather than folders too but they aren't in the icons package ;-)

Folders look nice and original :-)

Of course, that brings up the whole 'A workbench has drawers, and a desktop has folders' chestnut...

:-D
