I bealive there are checksums checked on power-up. So after changing the pic they would have to be updated or killed.

I remember that our local electronic shop was selling off all these EEPROM burners they had. I wish I would have been more knowledgable to know if they were good or not.  

Oh yeah, the EEPROM editor, they noblest of all freaks.

I don't know, but one can disassemble Kickstart ROMs and figure that out. It is replacement parts you program with modified KS that can be a problem.

Should not be a big deal if you have spare EPROMs to replace originals :-)

That logo is a very nice touch. It would be great if we could hack the 1.3 ROM to display the same thing - then 1.3 machines outfitted with your floppy emulator would have the hand holding an SD card instead of a floppy :-)
