the first samples of the eagerly anticipated revision 2 Nemo motherboard, destined for the AmigaOne X1000 Beta Test programme, have rolled off the production line.

OK, so this confirms that it's the first samples Piru is talking about, and that the beta tester boards are to follow, should this work well enough.

Slow progress, but progress nevertheless.

One thing I'd like to see, but am not sure if they would, is to change as many x1 PCI-Express slots to x16 slot plastic, regardless if they remain x1 electronically. The one between the two x16 slots might be lengthened if the chip there can be slid down a bit, not sure how difficult that layout change might be.

At this stage in the process, that kind of changes simply won't happen.
