Title: will flying 100 gunship missions help ?
Post by: rednova on June 06, 2015, 11:56:16 PM
Hi:

I can only play amiga gunship on simulation mode (invincible) and it yields 30
poins of experience per mission.
If I go harder level, I get killed.
If I play about a hundred missions (on simulator) will I get the chance
to get promoted ?
Thank you !!!

Set as many reality settings high, but you can stay as regular.
How are you getting killed?

IIRC when I was playing Gunship 2000 at hardest level and I set all settings to max except realistic flight modelling (or something like that) and I completed the game with 30 or 40 missions.

You get more points if your helicopter was badly damaged.

Some tips:
 * use your wingmen to scout enemies and get some damage ahead you
 * use flares to counter missiles
 * fly low so you are not exposed to enemy
 * use pop up attacks
 * the Middle East theatre is easier than Europe theatre
