Your Thoughts on AmiWest 2010
« on: October 31, 2010, 03:10:15 AM »
With AmiWest 2010 behind us, we can now look forward to AmiWest 2011. And over at AmiZed Studios, even though we couldn't go this year, we're starting to plan for next year! But first, we would like to know what you liked and what you didn't like about the coverage of the show. This will give us an idea of what to focus on should we be able to go next year. So we setup a little poll at the AmiZed website. So take a moment to vote and feel free to post comments explaining your thoughts in the article too!

I can't wait for Tekmage's broadcast from next years show. Hopefully I'll still be around and able to help again.

I loved having the stream but streaming on time would be nice.  I missed the part I wanted to see because the stream was hours late.  It didn't seem very professional or planned.

If you know you can't stream until a certain time, just tell us in advance so we aren't all frustrated, confused and relaying info through IRC.

Also the scratchy, low mic audio was pretty annoying.  I had to crank up the volume to hear the speaker then the scratches were way too loud.

I did enjoy having the roaming camera, even though he was a user just helping out.  It felt like going to the show floor and not just seeing a seminar.

I'd like to see good coverage of products at the show.  I saw a muffled conversation with Jens Schönfeld (again from the user), but I couldn't really tell what he was showing/saying.

I'd think that the people who brought products to promote would highly appreciate that as well.

BTW, having Carl Sassenrath standing in front of a blank blue projection screen for what seemed like hours was annoying for us and disrespectful to him.  Just cut the thing off when not in use.

I thought this was done so something could be chromakeyed in post production.
