No, the MMU isn't emulated, it reports that it's there as part of the 040 emulation, that's all, AFAIKR.

There is a port of uClinux floating around that doesn't require the MMU, and should work.

Here's the link to uClinux for Amiga, that I forgot to post above. It appears it's even partly developed in UAE.
