...Well maybe not. But wouldn't it be something for Team 17 to remember their roots and make the effort to make a native AOS4 version (and not a clone).
Anyway heres the link to the new game by Team17.

:pissed: Grrr! And here I believed you for a minute!

You bastard!!! :-x :-x :-D

:boohoo:
I doubted it anyway - I emailed Team17 a while ago to ask if they would ever consider porting stuff to OS4 once it's out, and never got a reply.
Besides, no-one would considor a port until it's ready :-( Team17 are one company I'd keep an eye on, though.

Well, they are working hard to create a platform to run that on! So, we will have to wait untill the major hard work on OS 4 is ready and they can get going with what they intended when they founded the company. Porting games to the Amiga.
It would be great though if Team17 went also back to the Amiga. Many people without an Amiga these days still remember the link Team17 and Amiga. So them going back could work out positive.

Well T17 were bashed in the same way that certain childish
tw*ts like to bash Hyperion and Eyetech at the moment when they
decided that their Amiga Swansong had come and gone.
I wouldn't blame them if they said f**k the Amiga my memoryservesme correctly of the god awful
posts on csam, csag etc is right.

What the /hell/ is the point in starting a thread like this, as if you were quoting fact?
For a second it looked like an interesting thread had popped up on amiga.org, but apparently not.
Slap.

@DaveP
That an interresting point you raise there.
I didn't know they were bashed by the same sort of ass****s that roam the Amiga sites these days.
I wonder what the common interrest is of those people that like to destroy it all?
Judging by my own experience, the people that bash the Amiga, hardware and games companies the most never bought a piece of software in their live.

You BASTARD! :whack:
Get my hopes up like that, then squish them like a little bug! I hope your happy now ;-)

Ben Hermans has stated more recently that the Worms Armageddon license
was negotiated when the DE was going to be the next Amiga desktop OS.
A seperate license would need to be bought for an OS4 version.

Hehe.. I knew I'd get a reaction from you guys. Sorry for the false hope.
BTW in all seriousness, can Team 17 be sweet talked into making a Worms 3 port for OS4? And maybe even that Alienbreed 2K4 its making for PS2, grrrr!
That would really make our year!

I didn`t realise that Team17 had received a bashing when they decided that the Amiga made no more economic sense to them - that seems terribly unfair seeing as what they did for raising the profile of the Amiga with games that easily rivalled and outstripped the console games of the time!
For me, they were my favourite software house on the Amiga and were one of the reasons I persevered with it; their ethos of making quality games got me interested in serious applications (which eventually lead to me staying with the Amiga all this time) and Mr Brimble got me into mod writing in a big way!
Seems such a shame that they were given a slating - I really hope this damage is not ir-repairable and, if the Amiga made economic sense to them again, they wouldn`t base their decisions on what has happened in the past!
I still get the feeling that Team17 has affection for the Amiga platform - its mentioned loud and proud on their website where their roots were and their software history is also fully documented!
Isn`t everyone tired of all the arguing in the community? I know I am

Rude!
