The AGA chip "glued" electronically to a plug in board would give real AGA modes, but why? If you want AGA-type output, get an RTG board. AGA comes on a system with a 32-bit bus using a 32-bit Zorro 3 bus (aftermarket for the A1200) with 32-bit speeds. Bandwidth does matter, or is this a foreign concept to the discussion?
Two 5-ounce sparrows cannot carry a 1 pound coconut strung together under their dorsal guiding feathers very far, and kludging such crap together is an academic exercise at best. Same for an AGA-type output from a plug in board.
