I finally got round to reading up about SETI, so I decided to join :-)

Currently been running the prog itself for 20 mins, but I'll be switching it to screensaver mode later on, then running the proper thingy again tonight.

I'm surprised that I can use the Vincent monicker on there without having to add the usual AC part :-D

I prefer to put my spare CPU cycles to use for something more worthwhile than finding Aliens.

Cancer Research

Especially as I smoke 20 a day.

Then what you should do is take the money you would have spent on smokes, donate it to Seti, and forget about the cancer research. You will have solved both in one smooth move  :-P

Nah, because the £4 pounds in tax that I pay every time I buy a pack of 20, pays for the cancer care i'll need many times over! :-P

-edit

I should start a "Start smoking to pay for the NHS" campaign.  I might even get an EU grant!! ;-)
