I was wondering if anyone here (especially those who do electronics) has an AvoMeter of any kind?
At college we have two cupboards with quite a few types of Model 8s and these do get used.
I was interested in getting an Avometer for myself, both out of interest, and as it will actually be useful since my inexpensive handheld digital meter refuses to measure current.
On ebay, the new models (Mk IV+) were selling for quite a lot of money (though no were near as much as buying a brand new one from RS - £850). I eventually ended up getting a Model 9 SX which as far as I'm aware is the same as earlier Model 8s, but has a big heavy metal case.
