concerning the world we live in.

The last storm we had, a neighbor said he saw lightning do some really really strange stuff, he explained that it didn't "strike" but rather appeared at the top of his hill and "rolled" down it breaking apart into several smaller balls when it hit a puddle, at which point the balls of light zipped up into the sky and vanished, never making more sound than a buzz.

WTF was that? :-o

>Why don't you write full lines?

Im not sure what you mean,
but I write this way
so that lines dont get too long
and so that ppl can think more easily while reading.
And its more comfortable for me to write this way.

>anyway, my question is, how come when threads like these exist we are told to lighten up if we are offended, but when a thread comes by that OBVIOUSLY is joking about potential alternative uses for a bible the thread is locked after 11 posts because "making fun of one's faith isn't funny".

I dont know how the people involved think,
But I can tell you that most humans think differently,
and have their own opinion on what is 'allowed' and not.

---

>Hasn't this type of thread been started in the past? And, with the same user?

Not as far as I know.

---

>Got one question here:
How is it true, that life started from chunks of meteorites came from Mars eons before there was even life here on earth?

There might have been life on mars
and it might have travelled with a meteor to earth,
but it would have to survive extreme cold
and without an atmosphere, (with ie: oxygen),
so its a bold theory,
tho we know of bacteria here on earth
that can hibernate very effectively,
and thus could survive the journey.

>If it's true then, we are Martians by origin!

Yes.
I would set a 19% chance on that it is true.

---

>What could possibly happen during those twenty minutes that I can't recall the next day? Are the laws of relativity broken somewhere along the route?

Because you are drunk
your brain is not as effective as when u r sober
and so every step might take a bit longer
or you dont cut the corners you cut when u r sober.

Additionally, you might be more cautious
when walking drunken.

Erm, neither thanks T_Bone...

I think a late night detour for a veggie burger might have something to do with the missing twenty minutes, plus extra time needed to get the key into my front door after a few sherberts.

Balls of lightning is a known phenomenon (spelling).
but the reason for it is only in theories atm afaik.

Mixed hot and cold air plays an important role.

I can only guess, since I dont know about his environment off the ao forums.
Pluss I need more information about him to guess better,
so I wont guess now.

Greetings,

Speaking of 'eating dog poo':

Wanna know, Why are there such a thing like cannibalism? I've seen some videos of it in the past. Disgusting!

Is that behaviour natural or just phychological disorder?
Heck I even saw that in animals. Once I had a mother kitten eat her own young!

:-o

Regards,

Gizz

Ok, here's my question. How come when you're trying to get to sleep and some idiot dog is barking keeping you awake, the moment it stops another one starts?

If I know it correctly, in the jungle there's a serious lack of proteines. Cannibals eat their enemies to get these proteines (as far as I know cannibalism by humans mostly only occurs in the jungle).
Scientists believe that cannibalism can cause the mad cow disease. A disease quite similar to this disease occured a few decennia ago in Papua-New Guinee.
The bio-industry is so wicked today, that they let cows eat cows (that is, grinded unusable remnants of cows).

There are many spiritual reasons behind cannibalism among humans too, often times it is believed that to eat a portion of another man is to "gain his power" so to speak.

Among animals, specifically cats, it is most common for a mother to eat her kitten if there is some notable defect with the kitten that the mother has identified.

I thought that was more the practice of headhunters, to collect heads, and dry it, so these shrink to more portable proportions so they can carry these with them to "gain their powers".
But you're most probably right that cannibals applied it too on their cannibalistic practices.
