I have an Original CD with a serial number, when you install it, it ask you for a serial number, then you need to connect to the Internet to Activate it, which gives you another serial number that you need to enter (or enters it automatically).
This is what the problem is, the Activation Server is taken off-line and no longer working. and w/o it the software is only usable for 30 days.
But the version I just downloaded said nothing about needing to register in 30 days. It just runs.
So I'm trying to get a clear answer .... is this newly released CS2 (linked to in the article) a version with the on-line re-registration removed?
I don't want to download gigabytles of CS2 applications and find out I have to register online in 30 days (with a non-existant server).
I've seen several people mention that you need to have an Adobe account to download the CS2 files from the Adobe site, but I haven't had to do that.
