I thought c64 games were free?

A lot of them are free for personal use, but all rights are still reserved.

Personal use is quite a different thing from being included in a compilation that is to be sold for profit........

Buy famous brand name, offer lame products with no future, try to live off brand name.

Hmm...sounds familiar.

Harassing Ms. El(l)sworth? Was it that she named her  baby Commodore 1 at first or something?

Yeah all the stuff they have is pure junk. It looks like they think the name alone will sell it. Its a shame that our parrent company name has been used like this.

(Is there 2 L's in her name?  If so, I apologize.)

Anyhow, yes, Tulip forced the name change.  There was a short-lived news post somewhere about the threats of legal woes.  Anyhow, originally, I think they were out to kill the entire project.  :pissed:

If this is true, it's a good start.  At least they didn't focus on one particular item.  Ya know those "Atari" joysticks and "Namco" game joysticks you can simply plug into your TV or VCR are out there and in America they're selling around $30.00.  It wouldn't be a bad start to put a few thosand of those across the nation to see if they sell well.  Toy stores and as well as Best Buy & Circuit City would be ideal.

Food for thought.
