Notice how the new gallery previews for these indexed colour images are now a lot better than they used to be under xoops?

During the gallery import, all images were converted to 32-bit, resampled using cubic interpolation and then, where the output format was required to be an indexed colour format, the optimal palette generated.

If only photoplog did that by default :(

It is called "Delitracker" on the Amiga, but the PC version is called "Deliplayer". There is no tracking part though.

Geeze, does everyone on here have some kind of killer system?  IMHO, 640x256x8 is just fine on many older Miggys, it all just depends on your budget, and what you intend to do with the system.

Cool...

I used to run Magic TV back in 1998 on a black and white TV. If I adjusted the contrast correctly the flicker went completely away.

I used to use 640x512, 16 colours and then overscanned to something more like 720x532. I'd "flickerfix" it with MagicTV.

Later I installed CyberGraphX AGA with the BPPC when I got it (but before I got the BVision) and ran the same resolution on an autoscrolling 1280x1024 display.

It was actually pretty nice.

Guys,

the new Amiga hardware, with the OS4 will allow us to run higher res, I thought you all new that??

Anyway, I dont see the problem with running higher res in future, and yes, your right, the figure I wrote was from a pc, I understand that, but I also know what the future holds for Amiga Computers!

Cheers 8-)  8-)

P.S.And also yes, I know we can run higher res on Amiga's now also, but the new one will be more Graphical then 16bit!

(if people followed links they could see I have been running WB at 1920x1200, and this was fun post -back to the roots).

But yes, an 8 color WB is incredibly fast on a 060 with a GFX-board.

I must confess to running an 8 colour Workbench for many years because all I wanted was performance.
It didn't affect the applications I was using (well maybe Delitracker, but I didn't care about looks, only sound)

1280x1024 is a PC resolution, Amiga is better than PC so 640x256 is best. lol

(ps. check this out -> http://www.amiga.org/gallery/index.php?n=1056 )

I hope your not trying to make us laugh!

In all seriousness, 1280x1024 is a nice size.

You could just upgrade your monitor to a LCD?? Then, I geuss it depends on what system you have.

Anyway, a very unique photo posting comment.

Cheers 8-)  8-)
