Karlos Posts:16867 | June 01, 2009, 01:51:58 PM You know, the more I look at the old GUI, the more it appeals. I'm getting pretty tired of heavily textured, gradient adorned interfaces that are the staple of modern user interfaces. I might have to install fvwm on my linux machine |

MASACREWILL Posts:134 | December 27, 2007, 03:10:19 PM ..an another problem is the Ibrowse unstability, but I don`t think I can solve it.. sometimes it freezes the machine with some "dead end" alert and I need to re :getmad: boot.. |
MASACREWILL Posts:134 | December 27, 2007, 03:06:54 PM ..why not? Actually, yes, I am thinking about 800x600, becouse the GUI is pretty much tiny in 1280*1024.. and no, icon drawing is not slow, it is quite usable, I use just 4 x enhanced IDE controller from Elbox and 80GB HDD 7200 8MB cache.. (actually it is formated just on 32 GB, but it is far more then I need..).. sometimes screen switching is a little bit sluggish, but nothing serious.. normaly it is as fast as in the lower resolutions.. the main limitation from my point of view is 32 MB fast ram, I hope I am getting 64MB module soon.. :-) |
