I having problems entering to Aminet.net, and in if you make a search, show this:

" Warning: file_put_contents(/home/aminet/aminet_root/cache/22/b8/19/b5/59/03/d6/52/89/a8/e4/f2/8a/15/bf/7e) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/aminet/aminet_root/phpinclude/include/search.php on line 423 "

Somebody are having the same problem or know what is this??

It works fine here... new uploads as of Dec 17th. and searches too...

Back to subject:

Aminet seems to be working pretty normal here... as mentioned before, I can see all of recent uploads and searches do work.

The web upload never ever worked correctly. It always failed on large files.

I emailed them to point out the problem and to ask if there were any mirrors accepting uploads, they have not gotten back to me.

Don't expect instant replies from a free web project on weekends. I've been away from home for 30 hours, organising a real life event. I just came home, only to find out that the guy who called me a "faggot" a week ago now thinks that an 18 hour email response time is too much of a delay. Get a life, Mr. Jacobs.

@everybody:

Everything except FTP uploads should be working again. If not, please drop us a note. FTP uploads will be fixed as soon as the server admin is back from his weekend trip.

WTF? Here is the email I sent and to which you still have not done the courtesy of replying to:

The main Aminet FTP server seems to be down at the moment...

I tried a mirror (us4.aminet.net) but it seems download only...is there a mirror that will accept uploads?

Which would then get the same occasional server problems and be offline for shorter periods. Pointless IMHO. I believe they are aware of the problem and they're trying to fix it.

The Amiga comunity is fragmented enough. Having more than one depository for files only exacerbates the problem. Having one central depository for all Amiga files has many advanatges such as making it easy for people to find files, without having to trawl through multiple depositories.

Aminet now appears to be working@10:10 GMT. Well done to those that fixed it!
