Title: Workbench 3.0 Install Disk
Post by: djh82uk on April 02, 2007, 05:44:55 PM
Ok I bought an official workbench 3.0 and manual, but it has no install disk, is anyone able to send me one?  ( I can prove  I own the original workbench, I can take a photo of it in a place that you describe (sofa, kitchen, on top of an amiga etc).  Or is someone willing to sell me an original?

Kind Regards

Is WB 3.0 still subject to copyright?
I'm sure there were copies of this on Amiga magazines for a while.
Amiga Format if i'm not mistaken.
Was done legally at the time.

Yes WB is still copyrighted and we do not condone piracy on this board!!

But since he bought WB 3.0 and it does not work, he is entitled to a working copy given to him since the company is not around anymore.

I don't see the big deal, again if you want a copy of anything you legally own and are entitled to, let me or others know.  We will help you out.  It is not like he is trying to pirate anything.

Why do you need the Install disk? HDToolbox or equivalent and the standard system disks will do fine - won't they?

Well I would have tried to use some sort of public domain installer but have no way to create disks from an adf file, and don't want to buy something that does the same job as something I have bought already if that makes sense.

If you have the original 5 disks then you can install to hard drive by hand, if need be. All you require is a prepped hard disk - hence HDToolbox or something.

What is the machine, does it have a hard disk, is it already formatted?
