Why on Earth would I go out of my way to mess with BB tags to make a link look like the auto generated ad referrals?
Because of readability. I've been fooled by those VigLink ads before as well; thinking "why is this poster linking to what appears a be a mildly relevant ebay auction?"
It's the ads which look like people generated links instead of the other way around.
