MinTerm Posts:3 | May 24, 2012, 07:41:20 PM That is one heck of a modded A600! That PSOne LCD screen was probably the only mini LCD that had RGB, svideo and composite inputs. All other screens seemed to be composite only. The PSOne display was incredibly sharp with gorgeous colour. Anytime you see someone using this display for a project, it always has a distinctive round shape due to the circuit board being round as well. |
rkauer Posts:3263 | June 20, 2008, 05:41:16 AM A 12V battery and a pico-PSU can do marvels for you! |
leirbag28 Posts:1793 | February 28, 2008, 06:30:12 PM @AMC258 Interesting Battery.......how would one go about connecting it to an Amiga 600 or 1200..........I would absolutely buy one of these if someone made the hack Heck Yeah! |
AMC258 Posts:877 | February 19, 2008, 12:13:04 AM I have in my hand a BATTERY that would be perfect for this machine! It's roughly the length and width of a 600, and only 3/8" tall. (very flat!) You could easily attach it to the bottom of the 600. It's the NCHARGE, by Valence Technologies, Inc. I bought it to power my very power hungry Dell laptop during my trip to China. I never really used the thing though. It comes with adapters for PDAs and cell phones too! |

cpfuture Posts:246 | March 22, 2007, 08:38:59 PM Man, this is one seriously pimped A600. Compliments! |
leirbag28 Posts:1793 | January 31, 2007, 12:56:51 AM @PMC It does not have a CPU upgrade unfortunately. and since I put an internal DVD/CDRW drive, an Apollo 620 or 630 wont fit unless HCPACITO designs a different shape CPU card. As for the Keys....try going to a Chinese computer shop or Japanese or Korean computer shop.....they create these sticker keys to translate English keyboards into their language. It will still contain the English characters. @Mucker I cut a hole into the back of the A600 the shape of the DVD/CDRW drive and just slotted it in.......it was not easy and was very dangerous because i used only an XACTO blade.......I slipped and made a huge mark in the back of the case.....but I could have easily removed one of my fingers! XACTO blade NOT recommended. I am told a Dremel Tool would be best. @Gwion I dont know what you mean by portable......if you mean like a laptop and that it has its own battery........then no.....but its definitely portable! I just take that whole piece with Screen and all and the PSU and plug it where ever I go. |
Gwion Posts:466 | January 25, 2007, 08:46:18 PM WAW!!!!! Thats COOL!!!! 100% BLINGING!!!! Is it portable??? :-? |
Mucker Posts:137 | January 13, 2007, 11:06:39 PM GOB SMAKED!!!! Serious moding at it`s finest, what cpu are you running, gota be at least an apollo 020. how did you get the cd in there? |
PMC Posts:2616 | November 08, 2006, 09:05:31 AM I love it! You've obviously taken your time with the case paintjob, which looks very, very cool. I did consider the idea of spraying an A1200 black and matt varnising the case, but I couldn't source black keys. Where did you get yours from? |
Karlos Posts:16867 | October 28, 2006, 12:34:14 PM I have to say, it looks very funky. |
leirbag28 Posts:1793 | October 09, 2006, 05:46:44 AM @adonay Thanks! The LCD screen is there for portability purposes.......like to take to a Coffee Shop and listen to MP3's with my MAS Player while I sip Coffee or play some games..........I once dreamed of making it wireless had I still had my Apollo 630. I always wanted to take it to StarBucks Coffee :-) The paintjob is not yet finished....it needs a Matte finish clearcoat to seal the paint in and a new keyboard membrane. |
adonay Posts:1144 | October 06, 2006, 09:42:01 PM why is that usless super small lcd monitor there ? would get a stiff neck playing via that one ... And besides i think it looks a bit silly .. but for the a600 paintjobb and cd etc it is a super nice a600 setup... |
leirbag28 Posts:1793 | September 27, 2006, 09:43:05 PM @Legerdemain Yes thats My A600. Still working on it adding stuff.and it needs painting and a New Keyboard Ribbon cable as half the keyboard doesnt respond. I must have done something after I painted it. it worked once after painting.but I opened it again.and scraped the Keyboard cable by accident. its a good MP3 player (MAS) and Games machine for now |
Legerdemain Posts:443 | September 27, 2006, 09:30:06 PM I would wet my pants... if I wasn't old enough to be able to prevent such happenings... but, dear god, how cool is not that computer of yours? |
VooDoo Posts:284 | September 27, 2006, 09:19:29 PM WOW...I can only this say... |
