New Entry Level Hardware, Summer 2007?
« on: January 08, 2008, 10:28:23 AM »
Hi,

What happened to this:

New New Amiga Hardware Specs

Has there been an announcement to say the release was delayed? Or was it quietly released and I missed it?  Summer 2007 is long gone now.

After that announcement nothing has happened. It's just vapourware, pretty much like everything else that has come from A.inc

My guess is McBill and A(CK)dam sat together with a piece of paper, wrote down some specs what they thought would made the Amiga community happy, and then continued thinking about what would be the most revolutionary way of introducing a Space Invaders game for mobile devices.

MrVenco is right, A.Inc is unfortunately famous for their big words and small b... (hint: it rhymes with "walls")

Pity, because I really did want one of those entry systems.
Code 6502 asm or... DIE!!

@beakster2

IMHO, this announcement was one of several announcements that Amiga Inc. made to create the illusion of a business case to support their litigation against Hyperion.  They were probably hoping for a quick win.

It's all part of a magic act, lots of smoke and mirrors.

Still not sure about ACK's role in these announcements.  I suspect Amiga Inc made some promises to ACK and ACK signed a non-disclosure agreement in good faith.
