Was Postal the original GTA 3/ VC?

I've been looking at a few game reviews and stuff and found this story.

I Know postal one was released on Mac and wondered if anyone might want it ported to Amiga, either the first or second (FPS style) game, the first of which was very similar to GTA 3/VC only with 2D isometric graphics.

I haven't played the first one myself, or the second one because it isn't Mac compatable, but I would like to know what anybody thought of the game if they've played it.

I don't know about which came first or anything, but I have played Postal 2 and even as a fan of GTA 3 & VC it went beyond my taste, personally. It's also a horribly designed piece of software. It seems every time you move a few yards you have to load another area, and it takes forever.

So I played it once and didn't feel any particular urge to go back to it... *shrugs*
