Hello,

Some time ago I had some problems trying to install a CDROM drive in any A4000, at the time had come to the conclusion that the unit has to be 16X CDROM or less, but recently I heard that one A4000 Desktop can handle any type of CDROM drive that the problem occurs with any unit that is greater than 16X the problem which does not recognize the CDROM drive 16X greater than occurs when the HD is very old and those wearing the A4000 when they came out in the 90s.

Somebody know about this?, and can confirm this things?

Regards!

I've used a 40X drive in my 4000 and it worked perfectly.  Even DVD-ROM drives...  You need a driver for it, you can't use the one on OS 3.0/3.1.  OS 3.5/3/9 has it built in.
Going Bananas over AMIGAs since 1987...

Looking for Fusion Fourty PNG ROMs V3.4?
