This tool adds to the Quick Tools range to offer a video editing solution for the Aros platform. It is based on Mencoder and this means it is not frame accurate but cuts are made on second boundaries. This means it will not yet replace higer end editors, but when we covercome this Mencoder limitation who knows. Available very soon and if AOS4 and MorphOS fans want to contribute it can be ported, please contact me for more details.

This product will be shareware like Quick CDRipper and if you have a license for that then you get this one for free, likewise if you register this then you get Quick CDRipper as well.

Many thanks to Ian Gledhill for the amazing amount of work he has done on this and to Deadwood for porting Mencoder to Aros.

This is the sort of software I believe Amiga needs, considering it did used to be referred to as the "media" os...

...and yet now a days, it isn't exactly media friendly except for playing musick or watching videos.

Anyhow, I'm glad to see a video editor for all incarnations of the OS, though as you stated, it's going to have to fine tune it's video cut point features before it will be of any use to me, for which reason, I'll keep an eye on this one. :)

I'm eagerly awaiting this so I can use it to make my own Amiga demonstration videos. Maybe I could even record Say or SpeechToy and add it for the narration so I don't have to speak myself.

@Cammy

Sorry for late reply, this fell of the thread table a bit quick.

Yes I hope it will be useful for you and others and you can you can record a narration and overlay on the clips at will, or over the whole video.
