Description: I want to keep my Amiga, as original as possible :-) So when I have to add a CD rom in it, I was thinking why not use the “original” line, there is in the design. ;-) Is a Slimline Slotin CD-R/DVD. And now you are thinking, who does he got the CD out again?? :-? That's because it is indeed a PC case... C= had loads of Cases left over from their 386/486 PCs, and it was cheaper for them to recycle/hack them for the A4000, rather than making the good looking black case you see on the A4000 prototypes. -Paul Btw excellent work!!! Not only does it look good, it also leaves more precious airspace inside the A4000 for cooling purposes. |

(not a updated picture ) And btw it was a Led for SCSI hd'en. ;-) But as it is now, the H.Disk led is "only" for Scsi hd' and for the CD there is placed a new LED behind the CD backplan, so when Cd is active, you can see the LED’s light truth it.. :-P Now working, but still in test, is a laser there is going to be places, in the PSU, the laser hits a unbalances mirror, so is making a small circle, on the backside of the cd-backplan, and I will say it looks really nice :-D (we are taking about a laser LED from a pocket flashlight ) |

Sure, he could have slapped in a regular CD drive, however this way he pretty much keeps the original A4000 looks intact, with the added spice of the almost invisible cd loading hole. :-) |
